Leave Enough Time for Traffic
One of the biggest causes of commuting stress is unrealistic time planning.
If you calculate your journey based only on the distance between two locations, you may underestimate the actual travel time. Traffic, road conditions, weather, stops, and unexpected delays can all affect your arrival time.
Instead of planning to arrive exactly when work starts, create a reasonable buffer. For example, arriving 15 to 30 minutes early may be much less stressful than trying to arrive at the last possible minute.
This extra time can also give you an opportunity to have breakfast, organize your work materials, or simply relax before starting your day.
