BTC Prague is Europe’s premier Bitcoin-only conference, designed to connect, educate, and inspire through world-class in-person experiences. Our mission is to build bridges—between individuals, institutions, and ideas—through expertly curated events focused exclusively on Bitcoin.
Founded by Martin and Matyáš, BTC Prague has quickly become a benchmark for quality and vision in the Bitcoin ecosystem. As we prepare to scale internationally and host up to four flagship events per year across continents, we are seeking a seasoned and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our lean and efficient team of 8 people.
As COO, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s day-to-day operations, implementing scalable systems, and driving key strategic initiatives across markets. You will report directly to the founders and serve as a core member of the executive leadership team.

What will you do
- Lead the end-to-end operational strategy for BTC Prague and oversee its global execution.
- Build, scale, and optimize internal systems across event production, logistics, HR, finance, and partnership.
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting processes.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, enforce compliance, and mitigate operational risk.
- Oversee vendor relations and external partnerships to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Drive cross-departmental coordination and communication across teams: marketing, sales, programming, IT, and production.
- Design and implement organizational structures and processes that support scalable growth.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture in line with our Bitcoin-first ethos.
- Prepare strategic reports, updates, and presentations for stakeholders and holding entities.
- Represent BTC Prague with professionalism and clarity in both internal and external settings.
Who you are
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or general management, preferably in high-growth or international environments.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive results.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the events, media, or tech sector is a significant advantage.
- Understanding of and alignment with the Bitcoin ecosystem (strictly Bitcoin-only).
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
