As a Director of Product you will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and creating the highest standard of future Trezor product portfolio, at both HW and SW level. You will be accountable for bringing the best products to the market in timely manner, representing a feasible business opportunity, and satisfying customer demand. The ongoing responsibilities include creating strategic goals, evaluating both creative and technical ideas, and prioritizing features. As well as designing and communicating product roadmaps internally and externally and systematically analyzing team’s progress.
👉 What will your duties be?
- Assume ownership of the vision of the whole portfolio of Trezor HW products
- Determine the market and hardware requirements necessary for the successful new generation of Trezor products
- Lead the cross-disciplinary (product, business, design, and engineering) teams to align on priorities
- Be responsible for effective communication and escalation of risks and dependencies while ensuring timely decisions are being made
- Be comfortable interacting with senior leadership, providing recommendations to support product level decisions.
- Operate effectively in ambiguity. Apply process where it creates value, and design process where it’s needed. Recognize the situations where each approach is most appropriate.
- Perform roadmap scenario modeling, and market analysis for the recommended HW platform factoring in performance, features, cost, and time-to-market tradeoffs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders in engineering, production, finance, and business groups to drive a competitive and executable hardware roadmap strategy
- Become a Trezor mission advocate, efficiently translating users needs into product and business requirements
- Conduct market research through our in-house User Research team and analyze customer feedback to drive impactful product development
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and positioning
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure our products remain competitive
- Understand bitcoin and wider crypto use cases, Trezor’s current and potential users, and communicate those efficiently to the rest of the organization
- Distill abstract business concepts and user needs into elegant creative solutions
- Take responsibility for the creative vision and the standard of output across team members who work under them
- Coach and grow the knowledge and expertise capacity of the team
- Conceive, build, and run product demos to align the organization around key HW product initiatives
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing HW product team
💪 What do we need from you?
- 4+ years of experience of working as a senior product executive or other relevant position
- Strong people management and leadership skills in order to hire, develop, and inspire the cross-disciplinary team
- Proven customer obsession in prior roles where customer requirements were gathered and implemented into a product.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, and internal teams
- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with various teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design and technical solutions for approval
- Proven leadership of multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills with proven ability to present to a wide range of cross-functional partners across different teams and levels of the organization. Executive Communications experience preferred.
