Ethiopia eVisas

The Ethiopia Journalist Visa is designed for foreign journalists, media professionals, and filmmakers travelling to Ethiopia to cover events, report for media organisations, or produce films, television programmes, or written material. Applicants need a recent passport-size photograph, a passport valid for at least six months from the intended entry date, and a recent letter of support from the relevant media institution. The official eVisa service currently states that the normal processing time is around three days, so it is sensible to apply at least three days before your planned arrival. The visa is issued for a single entry of up to 30 days. The validity starts from the intended entry date, and this journalist visa cannot be extended.
