Their pilot project, TROPIC01, is a transparent and auditable secure element that serves as an alternative to the existing closed secure elements. Their solution is designed for the security needs of IoT devices, crypto hardware wallets, M2M payments and hardware authenticators.

The company strives to create products where electronic manufacturers and chip owners can verify the security implementation claims without being restricted by NDAs.

Tropic Square is a subsidiary of SatoshiLabs, which launched Trezor – the world’s first HW wallet.
